AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY, EKPOMA (AAU) ANNOUNCE CLOSURE OF THE INSTITUTION, ORDERS STUDENTS TO VACATE CAMPUS


The Management of the Alli Univer­sity (AAU), Ekpoma, has ordered the immediate closure of the university over what it described as “the roll-over national strike em­barked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).”

The university’s Acting Registrar, Edward U. Aihevba, on Monday, March 22 issued a statement to this effect, saying students are to vacate their hostels and the school premises withing 24-hours of the notice.

The  statement reads;

The Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ek­poma, has on behalf of the Senate, approved the tempo­rary suspension of academic activities in the University as a result of the roll-over national strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Uni­versities (ASUU).


Consequently, all students are directed to vacate the Halls of Residence on or before mid­night of Tuesday March 22, 2022.

They are to return when the University announces the resumption of academic ac­tivities.

“Administrative activities in the University will, howev­er, continue without any inter­ruption.

“This is for the Information and guidance of all students, staff and the University com­munity”, the statement further stated.
