UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS MANAGEMENT ROLLS OUT MEASURES TO EASE THE EFFECTS OF THE REVIEWED OBLIGATED FEES

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Management wishes to inform members of the University community and other stakeholders that following the review of obligatory fees in line with current economic realities in the country, measures have been put in place to ameliorate the challenges that students and parents/guardians may face. They are:

  1. Payment by Instalment: Instalmental payment options have been made available to all students. However, payment must have been completed at the point of registration for the second (2nd) semester of any session.
  2. Revitalisation of Work-Study Programme: The student work-study programme has been revitalised to accommodate increased remuneration. Interested students can access the program through the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  3. Scholarship Opportunities: Students have the opportunity to access various scholarship schemes through the office of the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  4. Assistance for Indigent Students: Subject to eligibility, indigent students will be assisted by the University. This will be accessed through the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  5. Triple A Project: Measures have been put in place for alumni and well-meaning Nigerians to “adopt-a-student” under the Triple A Adopt an Akokite project.
  6. The University has deployed the “Pay for Mentors Project”for smart students
  7. Partnership with Lagos Bus Rapid Transport System:To facilitate ease of transportation, the Management has secured approval from Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) for additional BRT dedicated routes to convey passengers from Berger Bus Stop axis and Oshodi/Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State respectively.
