STEVE ESHIEMOGIE SCHOLARSHIP FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

The Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship is an initiative designed to support final year undergraduate students attending Nigerian federal government universities. It is specifically tailored for individuals with a keen interest in pursuing careers in biological sciences and engineering, particularly those inclined towards applying biotechnology for the sustainable advancement of Africa.

The selection process for the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship considers both need and merit. Candidates are evaluated based on their academic performance and financial need. Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship, applicants must:

- Be Nigerian students studying in Nigeria.

- Be enrolled in a federal government university.

- Be pursuing studies in chemical engineering, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, plant biology, or related fields.

- Be advancing to the final year of undergraduate study, having completed either 300 Level (for 4-year courses) or 400 Level (for 5-year courses).

- Possess a last sessional CGPA of at least 4.3 on a 5.0 scale or 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

- Not be recipients of any other scholarship.

How to Apply

To apply for the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:

1. Statement of Purpose: Write a concise statement of purpose (maximum 2 pages, saved as a PDF) detailing motivation for the chosen course, academic challenges, intended research for the undergraduate project, post-graduation plans, impact goals for Nigeria and Africa, and any relevant achievements.

2. CV/Resume: Draft a well-structured CV/resume and save it as a PDF.

3. Letters of Recommendation: Obtain two letters of recommendation from lecturers or professors in the department, scan them, and save as PDF files.

4. Confirmation Letter: Obtain a signed letter from the Head of Department (HOD) or course advisor confirming non-receipt of any other scholarship.

5. Transcript: Provide a copy of the undergraduate transcript from 100 Level to the current level. Self-reported transcripts are accepted, using the provided template.

6. Tuition and Project Details: Prepare a document specifying tuition fees, start and end dates of the final year of study, official fee payment deadline, and the title of the undergraduate project (if applicable).

7. Submission: Send all documents to seshiemogie@gmail.com with the subject "APPLICATION FOR STEVE ESHIEMOGIE SCHOLARSHIP 2024." Ensure all documents are saved in PDF format.

Award

Recipients of the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship will receive:

- One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000)
