Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho, Oyo state, has been rated as the best state-owned university in Nigeria.
Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) and Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU) came second and third respectively.
LAUTECH and LASU, ranked 11th and 12th best universities in Nigeria respectively are outside of the top 1500 universities in the world.
No fewer than 1,904 universities across 108 countries and regions were ranked using performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.
