HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JAMB 2024 ADMISSION POLICY MEETING

The JAMB policy meeting to discuss the admission cut-off marks and other relevant issues was held today Thursday,18th July 2024 as earlier announced. The meeting was chaired by the Hon. Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman. JAMB registrar, Vice Chancellors and other stakeholders in the education sector were in attendance.

Much of the deliberations during the meeting were regarding the admission guidelines and acceptable minimum admissions standards for all tertiary institutions across Nigeria for 2024

We have made available some of the highlights of the meeting;

Minimum Age for admission: It was decided that the minimum age for admission will be 18 years from next year. 

Top Scorers in the 2024 UTME: The JAMB Registrar while throwing up statistics regarding the 2024 UTME revealed the top scorers in the 2024 UTME.

Most-Sought After Institutions: The JAMB Registrar also disclosed the tertiary institutions with the highest number of applications in the 2024 UTME.

Acceptable Minimum Cut-off Mark: The meeting also decided on the minimum admission cut-off mark for admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
