The evaluation process, which commenced a month ago, culminated in an exit meeting held on December 18, 2024. The final review focused on the B.Agric programmes, marking the conclusion of the comprehensive Accreditation Exercise.
The programmes assessed included Mathematics, Food Science and Technology, Civil Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Environmental Management and Toxicology, Physics, Veterinary Medicine, and Geology.
Others were Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture and Bioresource Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Water Resources Management, Agriculture, as well as Nutrition and Dietetics.
At the Exit Meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, commended the NUC Team for their dedication. He emphasised the significance of peer reviews in maintaining high academic standards and pledged the University’s commitment to addressing all observations and recommendations.
The Vice-Chancellor further highlighted FUNAAB's dedication to creating an optimal learning environment and fostering collaboration during accreditation processes.
Appreciating all stakeholders, the Director, Directorate of Academic Planning, Prof. Olajide Sogunle, expressed gratitude to everyone for their contributions to the successful hosting of the NUC Team. He acknowledged the Team's efforts in ensuring a thorough and productive accreditation process for the 18 programmes.
The University looks forward to the outcomes of the accreditation and remains steadfast in its pursuit of academic excellence.
