NASARAWA POLYTECHNIC EXPELS 100 STUDENTS OVER EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES, CAUTIONS NEW STUDENTS

The management of Nasarawa Polytechnic has taken a firm stand against examination malpractices, expelling 100 students for their involvement during the 2023/2024 academic session.

This was revealed by Dr. Hauwa Muhammad, the Acting Rector of the institution, during the 41st matriculation ceremony, welcoming about 15,000 new students into the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Part-Time programs.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Muhammad emphasized the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards academic dishonesty, urging new students to learn from the fate of their expelled peers. “Let the actions of those expelled serve as a reminder that this institution does not condone any form of examination malpractice,” she aasserted.

The Acting Rector also warned the fresh students about the dangers of engaging in social vices such as drug abuse, cultism, and indecent dressing, while promoting the importance of peaceful coexistence within the campus community.

As the new academic year begins, students are urged to uphold integrity, discipline, and academic excellence throughout their time at the institution.
