JAMB HAS REGISTERED OVER 1.5 MILLION CANDIDATES, MORE EXPECTED UNTIL 8TH MARCH

JAMB has announced that over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) so far. The board also cautioned prospective candidates not to wait until the last day, emphasizing that there will be no extension beyond the official deadline of March 8, 2025, when the registration process will close.

The registration for the 2025 UTME began on February 3 and will end on March 8, 2025.

Those yet to register are advised to do so as soon as possible.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Public Communication Advisor for JAMB, made this statement on Tuesday in Abuja, noting that the deadline has been clearly communicated through all advertisements and the official 2025 UTME calendar. Currently, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered, which aligns with the Board's projections for the 2025 examination cycle.

Dr. Benjamin also emphasized that the registration deadline is final, as the Board’s calendar is set, with many subsequent processes scheduled after registration, such as examinations, result management, and the admissions exercise.

“These timelines are coordinated with other agencies that depend on the completion of our processes,” he explained. “Extending the registration period would disrupt not only our plans but also those of our partners.”

Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete their registration promptly to ensure they are part of the 2025 UTME.
