Gunmen Abduct Seven University of Jos Students During Exams
In a shocking incident, yet-to-be-identified gunmen have abducted seven students from the University of Jos. The police public relations officer of the state command, DSP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the abduction during a press conference held in Jos on Wednesday.

According to Mr Alabo, the students were kidnapped on Monday night from their hostel located outside the campus. The unfortunate incident occurred while the students were preparing for their second-semester examinations, which were scheduled to begin the following day.

"The students were picked up on Monday at about 8:30 p.m. from their hostel along Bauchi Ring Road in Jos North Local Government Area," explained Mr Alabo.


Responding swiftly to the distressing situation, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Bartholomew Onyeka, has deployed armed police personnel to track down the kidnappers and ensure the safe release of the abducted students. Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and other security agencies have also joined forces by deploying their personnel for search and rescue operations.

In light of the incident, Mr Alabo urged students and residents in the area to remain calm. He assured them that the security agencies were working tirelessly to secure the safe return of the abducted students.
