JAMB SUSPENDS ADMISSIONS INTO LAW PROGRAMMES AT REDEEMERS UNIVERSITY, AND 7 OTHERS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the suspension of admissions for law programmes at the Nigerian Police Academy in Kano state, Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s Redeemer’s University in Osun state and six other universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This was sequel to the Council of Legal Education’s (CLE) suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme at the affected institutions due to non-compliance with regulatory procedures.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the suspension known in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday in Abuja.

Benjamin identified the affected universities to include Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin in Kwara State; Bingham University, Karu in Nasarawa State; Redeemer’s University, Ede in Osun State; and Western Delta University, Oghara in Delta State.

Others are Taraba State University, Jalingo in Taraba State; Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo in Cross River State; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike in Ebonyi State; and the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

According to the JAMB spokesperson, the suspension of the law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy will last for two academic sessions — 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.

Consequently, JAMB will not approve any admissions for law candidates at the affected universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.
