YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY GOVERNING COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW ACTING VICE CHANCELLOR

The governing council of Yobe State University, Damaturu, has appointed Bukar Jamrias the acting Vice Chancellor (VC) of the institution.

The appointment, as confirmed by the university’s Director of Information, Uwani Mamuda, will take effect on February 13, 2025, following the expiration of the tenure of the current VC, Mala Daura.

In an extraordinary meeting held on Wednesday, the council also approved the appointment of Garba Girgir as the acting registrar of the university. His appointment became effective on January 15, 2025.

According to reports obtained by The Positive Voice, Mr. Jamri previously served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) and is recognized for his remarkable contributions to the university’s administration.

As these leadership changes take effect, stakeholders anticipate continued academic and administrative excellence under the new appointees.
